Mastodon, again
A few years passed since my last attempt to get on Mastodon without it negatively impacting my life. There are much more interesting people on Mastodon now. And I haven’t stopped lurking on various fedi instances looking for news from the FLOSS world, which usually ends with doomscrolling.
After thinking how I can improve this situation I decided to cure poison with poison: I need a Mastodon account for following some of interesting accounts, which allow me to filter out the whole rest of noise. And I need to remember about setting alarm before checking global or local timeline!
I’ve chosen this instance because it is tech-related, and it probably will never become a nazi bar. My first account was on mastodon.social but it is generic instance without focus on tech and FLOSS, my second account was on fosstodon.org but it seems there were some recent problems which make both admins give up and, so future of this instance is uncertain.
I’ll probably write some introductory post there, maybe comment sometimes. But I prefer posting on my capsule, so the account will look pretty empty.
